Awakening

A few years ago I was working for a church in Derby and started up a youth, students and young adults ministry called Awakening in partnership with my friends from Campus Awakening. Although Awakening has taken on its own life since I’ve moved on, I’m really delighted that it continues to exist and develop as a worshipping community and I’m really proud of those who have taken up the mantle of leadership and led it forwards.

Below you can see a number of talks I delivered in that setting. Not everything I say here is necessarily the sorts of things I would still teach… that’s part of the ongoing theological journey. At times I slip into cliches, dichotomies and overly simplistic ideas, but as this blog is about offering thoughts and developing faith, I thought it helpful to make these available all the same.
